I’ve bitten the bullet and signed up to delicious.com, the online social bookmarking/web 2.0/cloud computing etc… website that will (hopefully) sort out my malaise of bookmarks. After making a complete mess of my Firefox bookmarking tag system (an uncomprehensibly NOT being able to batch/mass delete tags from Firefox!) I’ve decided to start from scratch. Well not really....

GOOD 012 - Transparency - Expect Delays →
Oh dear, I can totally understand where this is coming from. Me? I spend on average 8 hours a week sitting in the car travelling to work, i.e. commuting. In a year, that’ll be 16 days (approximately) a year, which is 384 hours of my life… yeesh.

Star City throws $475m at 'tacky' image - ABC News... →
I like how the Star City managing director states: “We do have a five-star hotel and the best theatre in Australia, which attracts the very best productions from around the world, which we think is very important,” he said. “Yet the perception here is that perhaps we’re tired and tacky, and we aim to fix that perception.” Good to see that they understand faux-rock...

So this is it, Google’s mobile phone driven by its open source OS. A bit bland and I’ve heard some stories that it is quite restrictive… more will be heard about this over the next few months.

Hmmm, so this is the first real look of the next version of Windows, Windows 7. Interesting that they’ve maintained the Vista look, althought it is still very unfinished in this current form.

Nelson calls leadership spill - ABC News... →
Hmm, I wonder if Malcom Turnbull will make his run for leadership. I doubt it at this stage, I think the Libs will rally behind Nelson… for now. Turnbull won’t make a go for the leadership until another few months, mark my words.

Sunny Monday
Wow, this is amazing! It seems like only a few days ago I was complaining about the cold weather, now it’s feeling positively summerish! Even the traffic is flowing freer this morning, the birds are singing and the sun is definitely shining! Twenty eight degees.

NSWEC | Welcome →
Colour me impressed by the NSW Electoral Commission’s website, they’ve actually done a streamlined, easy-to-use website that integrates the voting database and Google Maps telling potential voters where their nearest voting place is!!! Impressive for a NSW Government department. Well done.

Still cold
Jeeze, September and it’s still freezing cold. It’s not on. It’s just not on. Meanwhile Apple has gone and released yet another design of the iPod Nano, gotten rid of the Classic 160gb and refreshed the iPod Touch. I really am going to find it hard to resist the new Touch model, shame they didn’t give it a bump in the storage though. Also, yesterday saw the release of the...

Chrome
It caused ripples in the internet. It featured on the front pages of online newspapers. People have known about it for a while and have written about how it all began. There have been mini-reviews of its performance and critiques of what it’s doing wrong. They even created a comic book for it. Chrome, it’s definitely here and going to have an impression on the net. What I like: - The...

I ain't 100%
I hate being sick. I really do. Everything feels terrible and I just want to lie down and pretend it never existed. Anyway, moving onto other things is Google Chrome, the new web browser from Google Inc. My first impressions is that it’s a nice piece of work, slick, lightweight and seems pretty quick in rendering pages. The software is clearly beta though, the proof? As I’m typing this...

Well, well, well… Google finally takes one more step towards complete desktop/internet domination. The Google web browser named “Chrome” will be released tomorrow for Windows PCs (in an early test form). Should be interesting, I mean, we’ve already got Firefox, Safari and Opera duking it out. IE’s latest Beta 8 version is actually half decent and there’s also...
